Ken Kohrs was appointed to fill an open position on the Board in September 2011 and subsequently elected to a four year term in November 2012. Although new to local government, he strongly believes in accountable local decision making. Ken fully supports the Township’s strategic development plan and is a proponent of cost effective budget planning and high quality Township services. Ken retired from Ford Motor Company after 37 years with the Company, serving in both Europe and the US as a Corporate Vice President. Following retirement he served four years as UM Co-Director for the Tauber Institute for Global Operations and four years working with the Provost and a major donor to develop the Graham Sustainability Institute. He has also volunteers with Saint Joseph Mercy Hospital as an experience advisor working on their quality program.
