To the qualified electors of Ann Arbor Charter Township: please take notice that a federal, state and local General Election will be held in Ann Arbor Township on Tuesday, November 8, 2016. This election is to elect the following offices:
President and Vice President of the United States, Representative in Congress, Representative to State Legislature, Members of the State Board of Education, Members of the University of Michigan Board of Regents, Members of the Michigan State University Board of Trustees, Wayne State University Governors, County Prosecuting Attorney, County Sheriff, County Clerk/Register of Deeds, County Treasurer, County Water Resources Commissioner, County Commissioner, and Township Supervisor, Township Treasurer, Township Clerk, and Township Trustees.
Voters will also elect the following non-partisan offices: Justices of the Supreme Court of Michigan, Court of Appeals 3rd District Judges, 22nd Circuit Court Judges, Judge of 14A District Court, Washtenaw Community College Board of Trustees, Ann Arbor Public Schools Board Member, and Ann Arbor District Library Board Members. Barton Hills Village voters will also elect Village Trustees.
Voters will also vote on the following proposals: 1) County Proposal to Levy 0.50 mils to fund roads, bike lanes, streets and paths for a period of 4 years. 2) County Proposal to Levy 0.10 mils for funding Department of Veteran Affairs for a period of 8 years. 3) Regional Transit Authority of Southeast Michigan Proposal Authorizing the Regional Transit Authority of Southeast Michigan (RTA) to Levy an Assessment 1.20 Mills for 20 years.

Polling Places: Precinct 1 is at Township Hall, 3792 Pontiac Trail, and Precinct 2 is at Fire Station 2, 4319 Goss Road. Polling locations are handicapped accessible.
Absentee ballots are available for all elections; registered Ann Arbor Township voters may contact the township clerk’s office to request an application for an absent voter ballot, by phone 663-3418, email firstname.lastname@example.org, writing or in person. You may vote by absent ballot if you: 1) are unable to attend the polls without assistance; 2) are 60 years of age or older; 3) expect to be absent from the community the entire time the polls are open on election day; 4) are in jail, awaiting arraignment or trial; 5) have been assigned to work as a precinct inspector in a precinct other than where you are registered; or 6) are unable to attend the polls because of religious beliefs.
