Please take notice that a federal, Presidential Primary Election will be held in Ann Arbor Township on Tuesday, March 8, 2016. A county-wide millage proposal for 800 mHz emergency responder communications is also on the ballot. The last day to register in order to vote in this election is Monday, February 8, 2016. Voters may register by mail using a mail-in voter registration form or in person at a Secretary of State Branch Office, the Washtenaw County Clerk’s Office or the Ann Arbor Township Clerk’s Office.
Persons entitled to be registered voters in Ann Arbor Township must possess the following qualifications on or before March 8, 2016: 1) citizen of the United States; 2) not less than 18 years of age; 3) a resident of the State of Michigan and Ann Arbor Charter Township for not less than 30 days prior to the election (MCL 168.492). In addition, qualified electors must be registered to vote not less than 30 days prior to the election (MCL 168.497)
Registrations will be received at Ann Arbor Charter Township Hall located at 3792 Pontiac Trail, Ann Arbor, MI 48105, Mon – Fri from 8 am – 4:30 pm.
