On October 17, 2016 the Ann Arbor Charter Township Board of Trustees approved the 2nd reading of an ordinance amendment, Ordinance 3-2016, amending Chapter 18 – Businesses to add Chapter III Medical Marijuana Grow Operations. The ordinance amendment creates a licensing process and includes rules and regulations for establishing and operating medical marijuana grow operation. The Township Board approved the ordinance which becomes effective on October 27, 2016. The full text of the ordinance can be read here.
The Ann Arbor Charter Township Board of Trustees met on October 17, 2016 and approved amendments to the Zoning Ordinance in Chapter 74, 74-2, 74-461, 74-462 and 74-465, and Adding Zoning Code Sections 74-613, 74-614, 74-615, And 74-616 “Medical Marijuana Grow Operation.” The amendments, known as Ordinance Number 4-2016 add medical marijuana grow operations definitions and conditional use classifications to the zoning ordinance.
