Special Election Tuesday, May 5 – polls open 7 am – 8 pm

To the qualified electors of Ann Arbor Charter Township, notice is hereby given that a Special Election will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 from 7 am to 8 pm for the purpose of voting on the following proposals:

  1. State Proposal 15-1, a state-wide proposal to increase sales taxes to fund road improvements and other services
  2. Ann Arbor Public Schools bond millage renewal proposal

Polling Places: Precinct 1 is at Township Hall, 3792 Pontiac Trail, and Precinct 2 is at Fire Station 2, 4319 Goss Road.  Polling locations are handicapped accessible.

Absentee ballots are available for all elections; registered Ann Arbor Township voters may contact the township clerk’s office to request an application for an absent voter ballot, by phone 663-3418, email, writing or in person.  You may vote by absent ballot if you: 1) are unable to attend the polls without assistance; 2) are 60 years of age or older; 3) expect to be absent from the community the entire time the polls are open on election day; 4) are in jail, awaiting arraignment or trial; 5) have been assigned to work as a precinct inspector in a precinct other than where you are registered; or 6) are unable to attend the polls because of religious beliefs.
