The Ann Arbor Charter Township Board of Trustees met on November 20, 2017 and approved amendments to the Zoning Ordinance in Chapter 74, Sections 74-2, 74-427(a)(1), 74-461, 74-462, 74-463, 74-464, 74-547, 74-592, 74-761, 74-763, 74-764, and 74-835, and addition of Zoning Code Section 74-613 “Campgrounds.”  The amendments pertain to Agricultural Uses, Mineral Mining, Recreation and Places of Worship. The amendments replace the word and definition of “Church” with “Places of Worship.” The amendments align our ordinances and definitions pertaining to mineral mining and agriculture with State regulations. The amendments add definitions of parks and campgrounds, and modify the table of permitted uses in rural districts. The amendments, known as Ordinance Number 5-2017 are effective December 7, 2017.
