On December 18, 2023 the Ann Arbor Charter Township Board of Trustees approved the 1st reading of ordinance amendments to Chapter 14, Article V, Division 1, Section 14-139 Collection of fees. The ordinance amendments impose a municipal civil infraction violation for unpaid fees in order to be able to add unpaid fines for property maintenance code violations to the tax roll for collection.
The Township Board will hold a second reading of this ordinance at their regularly scheduled meeting on January 22, 2024 at 7:30 pm. The full text of the first reading draft ordinance is available for review or purchase at the Township Hall, 3792 Pontiac Trail, Ann Arbor, MI during regular business hours, 8 am – 12 pm and 1 pm -4:30 pm, Mon-Fri.
