Basic Voting Registration Information

Where to Register

You can register to vote for all government levels of elections by mail, in person at the Township Office, in person at the County Clerk’s office, or by visiting any Secretary of State branch office, or if you already have a Michigan Drivers License or Personal ID card – ONLINE.

When to Register

You must be a resident of the municipality 30 days prior to an election in order to participate in the election in that jurisdiction.  You can register anywhere or by mail or online up to 15 days prior to an election. In the last 2 weeks before an election, and on Election day you can register to vote, but you must come in person to the Township Clerk’s office, 3792 Pontiac Trail, Ann Arbor, MI 48105 (8:00 am – 4:30 pm).

If you registered to vote when you updated or received your driver’s license at the MI Secretary of State’s Office, then as long as you continue to live at that address, you remain registered.  There is no need to complete a separate registration form at the Township.
