Waste, Recycling and Yard Waste Collection – Preferred Hauler Service – Waste Management (WM)

Waste Management (WM) is currently the preferred hauler for Ann Arbor Charter Township.  WM provides weekly waste, and every-other-week recycling collection, as well as seasonal yard waste collection weekly.

The Township’s collection day is Monday. Waste and yard waste must be at your pickup location by 6 am – and same timing for putting out your recyclables during your recycling collection week.  Also, please note that recycling and trash bins need to be set a few feet apart from each other to allow the truck’s collection arm to work properly.

Residents can sign up for WM service on wm.com. If further assistance is needed, contact the WM Customer Experience team at (866) 797-9018.

A preferred hauler contract typically provides residents with the most cost-effective service, but Township residents are free to contract directly with the hauler of their choice.
