Soil Erosion and Sedimentation Control Ordinance Amendments

On December 16, 2024 the Ann Arbor Charter Township Board of Trustees approved the second reading of ordinance amendments to Chapter 26, Environment, Article VII Soil Erosion and Sedimentation Control (SESC). The ordinance amendments allow small (less than 1 acre disturbance) projects to follow the Township SESC permitting process and exempt them from requiring a state level permit.
The ordinance, now known as Ord. 8-2024, becomes effective on January 2, 2025. The full text of the ordinance is available for review or purchase at the Township Hall, 3792 Pontiac Trail, Ann Arbor, MI during regular business hours, 8 am-12 pm and 1-4:30 pm, Mon-Fri.
