Zoning Ordinance Amendments Approved Re Fences and Gates

The Ann Arbor Charter Township Board of Trustees met on June 17, 2024, and approved amendments to the Zoning Ordinance in Chapter 74, Sec. 74-2, Definitions and Interpretation, Sec. 74-600 Fence Regulations, Sec. 74-595 Setbacks on Arterial Roads, and Sec. 74-426 Requirements, Scope, Uses, Exceptions. The amendments add definitions pertaining to fences and update the ordinances regarding location and features of fences and gates. The amendment now known as Ord 6-2024 takes effect on July 12, 2024 and is posted online here. It is also available for review or purchase at Township Hall, 3792 Pontiac Trail, Ann Arbor, MI 48105, M-F, 8 am-12 pm and 1–4:30 pm.
